Free Stuffed Toy Bonnet Crochet Pattern







Materials:

1 oz. worsted weight yarn
Size H crochet hook
Gauge: 2 rnds dc=1"
Size: Bonnet designed to fit a Disney Club Penguin Puffle, which measures about 4 1/2" tall (plus hair). You can purchase these at some WalMarts, Disney stores or on eBay. They are not very expensive.

Rnd 1: Ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring, ch 3, 11 dc in ring, join w sl st in top of beg ch 3 (12 dc).

Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same dc, 2 dc in next dc and in each dc around, join as before (24 dc).

Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in same dc, 2 dc in next dc and in each dc around, join as before (48 dc).

Rnd 4: Ch 3, dc in next 7 dc, 2 dc in next dc, * dc in next 8 dc, 2 dc in next dc, rep from * around, ending w dc in last 3 dc, join as before (53 dc).

Rnds 5-7: Ch 3, dc in each dc around, join as before (53 dc).

Rnd 8: Ch 3, dc in next dc, dc dec over next 2 dc, * dc in next 2 dc, dc dec over next 2 dc, rep from * around, ending w dc in last dc, join as before, fasten off (40 dc).

Row 1: With wrong side (inside) of bonnet facing you and joining rnds at center bottom, join yarn w sl st in 12th dc to right of joining st on Rnd 8, ch 3, sl st in next dc, (ch 3, sl st in next dc) 15 times, fasten off (16 ch 3 loops).

Row 2: Turn work, rejoin yarn w sl st in same dc you just fastened off in, ch 3, sl st in 1st ch 3  loop, (ch 3, sl st in next ch 3 loop) 15 times, ch 3, sl st in same dc the last ch 3 loop of Row 1 is worked in, fasten off (17 ch 3 loops).

Row 3: Turn work, rejoin yarn in same dc you just fastened off in, ch 4, sl st in 1st ch 3 loop, (ch 3, sl st in next ch 3 loop) 16 times, ch 4, sl st in same dc as last ch 3 loop of Row 1 is worked in, fasten off (18 ch loops).

Weave in ends. Enjoy !!
